People of all ages filled the Central Park in Calgary to pay their respects to those who gave their lives in wars fought around the world, it was a heart felt service with 2000 onlookers.

Paying homage to his grandpa

A Rose was given to this WWII Veteran.

Everyone came out to pay their respects today, it was good to see some parents see the value in teaching their children about our country’s history.

It was a full house at Calgary’s Legion Branch Number One on 7th Ave.

Legion number one staff were on hand to pose for a quick photo and show me around the Legion.

Let the band play on….Even if it was just drum sticks these boys enjoyed every minute of it.

Calgary Police Service Pipe Band

A faded color photo of the Queen stands on guard.

Legion Presidents line the wall of Branch number one, the poppy symbolizes that member is now deceased.

“I’ve spent 21 years in this booth selling tickets, I must have been a bad girl in my past life to deserve this!”
